AirForestry are on the hunt for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to play a pivotal role and strengthen the team.

The role:
As Lead Mechanical Engineer at AirForestry you will contribute to establish requirements and defining technical specifications. In this role you will play an important part in the development of concept designs, prototypes and systems design. You are executing follow-ups and optimization after testing and on prototypes. Further, you will have a close contact with suppliers and ensuring manufacturability. Documentation of and reporting technical solutions and projects is frequently done.

Experience:

- Minimum of 10 years experience in Mechanical Engineering and Product Development

- High ability and interest in taking initiatives and lead concept development

- Experience in building and maintaining successful supplier relationships

- Experience in working with Product Lifecycle Management

- A good understanding of manufacturing processes

- A keen understanding of documentation and technical reporting

Meritorious:

- Deep knowledge in SolidWorks or similar CAD-program

- Previous experience designing structures in composite materials such as CFRP

- Previous experience designing for additive manufacturing

- Previous experience designing for aluminium casting

You will be working in the People Operations team.

These are the main areas we would like you to work with:

- Suggest job ads to responsible teamleads or managers

- Communicate with candidates

- Application administration (read, sort, administer, delegate, etc)

- Book interviews

- Support AirForestry colleagues in interviews

- Reference checks

- NDA administration

- System administration (we are using Teamtailor)

- Manage connected people and keep them informed of our activities

- Plan and book the onboarding for recruited colleagues

- Manage onboarding documentation for recruited colleagues

- Manage practical onboarding with clothes and equipment for new colleagues

Naturally, this role will also vary depending on the recruitment volume. So, when there is less to do within recruitment, other duties will be on the agenda.

These could be:

- Helping hand in communications and social media administration

- Working with incoming general questions through mail and phone

- Administration and communication with suppliers and customers
