As Product Manager Chromatography Resins, you will work alongside the product management team to support our core chromatography resins as they transition from an introduction stage of their Life Cycle through Growth and Maturity stages.
This position is part of the BioProcess Product Management Organization located in Uppsala and will be an on-site role. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you’ll do:
Manage a range of process chromatography resins over its life cycle to maximize market share and margin
Work cross-functionally to ensure customer needs and product quality standards are met
Support the commercial team through relevant documentation, seminars and meetings with customers
Drive forecasting of product range and supporting the organization in execution of supply chain deliveries
As an integral member of the product management team, you will actively support and be supported by the product management team

The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Engineering, Biotechnology or other Life Science related fields
Business and customer-oriented with demonstrated ability to deliver results.
Ability to understand and apply data to define actions and support decisions.
Internal and external customer-facing experience that demonstrates the capability to influence stakeholders.
Capability to lead projects and teams
Fluency in English both written & oral communication. The Uppsala site is an international working environment, although understanding and speaking Swedish is a big plus.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Product Management.

About the role

We are seeking a Product Owner to join our Product Management team. You will report to the Head of Product Management.

As a Product Owner, you will work with Product Managers to understand our customers’ needs and, within the product portfolio strategy, translate them into product requirements. You will work closely with our development team to ensure clear and effective communication between customers and the team.

You will act as a leader within the organisation and contribute to a positive working environment while promoting a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and putting customers first. It is important that you apply lean and agile principles: build, measure, learn.

What you will do

- Support the Product Manager in translating customer needs into roadmaps and product backlog items
- Manage the product backlog in line with roadmaps, time constraints, budget, and priorities
- Provide a single point of contact for the development team to handle questions, priorities, and concerns
- Work with the Product Specialist and Product Manager to develop the product
- Communicate with users about the products, gather feedback, analyse it and help create organisational buy-in for new features
Who you are

Qualifications and experience

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, pharmacy, data science, or life sciences
- Extensive experience developing software-based products and/or SaaS solutions; experience as a Product Owner is an advantage
- Experience working in agile settings and familiarity with system engineering concepts, maintaining and prioritising a product backlog, and MVP.
- Experience of product planning processes and product feature development
- Experience, or at least working knowledge, of quality and compliance standards to help ensure our products are developed in accordance with those standards
- Fluent in written and spoken English
We would appreciate if you have:

- Experience working in the pharmaceutical, CRO, or wider life science industry
- Experience working in a regulated environment
- In-depth experience with WHODrug

Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC) is an independent, self-funded, non-profit foundation established in 1978 dedicated to safer use of medicines and vaccines. Through an agreement between the Government of Sweden and the World Health Organization (WHO), UMC operates the Programme for International Drug Monitoring, supporting over 180 member countries and regions in strengthening safety surveillance, and maintains VigiBase, the WHO global database of adverse event reports. In addition, UMC provides international standards and related digital solutions for secure exchange of pharmacovigilance data, including a global medicine and vaccine terminology for identification of medicinal products. With around 200 staff, UMC advances the science of pharmacovigilance and transforms its practice through technological innovation.

As part of Nucleic Acids R&D, you will play a key role in developing innovative products that are used in the manufacturing of leading biological drugs. You will join the Nucleic Acids section within the Genomic Medicine Operating Company, R&D Uppsala. Our team consists of 16 researchers working across production, purification, filtration, and analytical characterisation of nucleic acids, supporting product development to meet our customers’ needs. We are now looking to strengthen the team with an expert in oligonucleotide synthesis who can bring deep technical expertise and contribute to our continued innovation.
What you will do:
Act as a subject matter expert in oligonucleotide synthesis, including phosphoramidite chemistry, solid supports, and synthesis optimization.
Conduct analysis and method-related work in new product development, product care, and market support projects, with a strong customer focus.
Develop analytical methods to characterize oligonucleotides such as HPLC, LCMS or mass spectrometer.
Lead and own the automated oligonucleotide synthesis workflow, including instrument configuration, method setup, advanced troubleshooting, and performance optimization across different oligo sequences and applications.
Lead method development, optimization, verification, and validation activities, ensuring robustness, reproducibility, and alignment with design control and regulatory expectations.
Independently plan, execute, and document experimental work in a structured manner.
Present and communicate results at project meetings, in customer interactions, and occasionally through posters or oral presentations at conferences.
Act as a technical advisor to customer-facing and commercial teams, supporting complex customer queries related to oligonucleotide synthesis and nucleic acid workflows.

Who you are:
You hold a PhD (5+ years experience) or BSc/MSc (8+ years experience) in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology preferable from industry experience.
You have hands-on experience in oligonucleotide synthesis, including phosphoramidite chemistry and solid support synthesis.
You have solid experience working in design control.
You have experience with method development, verification, and validation, preferably in a regulated or industrial R&D environment.
You are comfortable configuring automated oligonucleotide synthesizer including synthesis protocols and instrument settings and troubleshooting both chemistry- and hardware-related issues.

The Project Portfolio Lead is responsible for financial coordination, driving the continuous improvement of the working process as well as transparency of our project and investment portfolio. As the Project Portfolio Lead, you operate at the intersection between project execution, finance, and production, with strong influence but without formal people management. The Project Management Organization (PMO) is responsible for investment projects at the Uppsala site.
This position reports to the PMO manager and is part of the Project Portfolio Governance Team together with Program Managers and the Manager for Project Execution. The position is located in Uppsala, Sweden, and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
Act as the bridge between PMO and Finance for portfolio planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial follow?up.
Own portfolio?level financial and capacity forecasting (monthly, quarterly, annual) in close alignment with Finance.
Ensuring consistent portfolio governance across all projects, following the PMO governance model.
Own portfolio management tools, KPIs, and reporting—driving data quality, transparency, and decision?ready insights.
Represent the project and investment portfolio in governance and strategic decision forums.
Collaborate closely with project managers and project sponsors to ensure alignment between portfolio priorities, delivery capacity, and execution performance.

Who you are:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Engineering, or similar.
You bring 10+ years of experience working with projects and project portfolios, ideally in complex and cross-functional environments.
Collaborative by nature, with a proven ability to build trust and strong working relationships across various functions.
You work in a structured and quality-driven way. Valuing clear governance, consistency, and high quality, reliable data.
A continuous improvement mindset, with motivation to evolve tools, processes, and ways of working overtime.
Fluency in both Swedish and English, with strong communication skills in speaking as well as writing.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Danaher Business System or an equivalent continuous improvement methodology.
Experience from Smartsheet or other project portfolio tools.

The Senior UX Designer is responsible for the design of complex, analytical, and safety?critical software used in bio-tech industry such as Touchscreen, HMIs, embedded systems, desktop software, and related laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
This position reports to the Senior UX Software Manager and is part of the Marketing team located in Sweden and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
Design end-to-end user experiences for: Touchscreen-based HMIs on instruments, Embedded software interfaces, Desktop applications supporting monitoring, analysis, and control.
Create interaction models that support expert users, while improving learnability, error prevention, and operational confidence.
Tackle complex information architecture, data visualization, alarms, and system feedback in a calm, precise, and usable way.
Produce high-quality UI designs, flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
Participate in early-stage innovation and concept exploration, especially around: Advanced touchscreen interactions, Next-generation HMI patterns, Cross-device workflows (instrument ? desktop ? digital ecosystem)

Who you are:
6+ years of experience in UX design for complex systems.
Strong portfolio demonstrating: End-to-end UX design process, Complex workflows, analytical interfaces, or system-level design, with clear rationale behind design decisions.
Proven experience designing for touchscreens, embedded systems, HMIs, or desktop applications.
Solid grounding in user-centered and human-centered design methodologies.
Experience working closely with engineers in agile or hybrid development environments.
Fluency in English.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to travel to some of Cytiva global locations if required.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience in life sciences, biotech, medical devices, industrial automation, or regulated environments.
Experience designing for expert users in high-stakes operational contexts.

As a Lead System Designer at Cytiva, you will play a central role in shaping the functionality, quality, and regulatory compliance of our customized bioprocess solutions. You will be the technical anchor throughout the project lifecycle, and responsible for translating customer needs into specifications and system designs, guiding cross?functional engineering teams, and ensuring that internal, external, and regulatory requirements are fully captured and implemented.
This role sits at the heart of our Custom Engineering organization, where you will collaborate closely with Mechanical, Electrical, and Automation design engineers, as well as Production, Manufacturing, Service, and Verification teams. Most projects are customer?specific, run for 6–12 months, and involve cross?functional teams of 8–10 colleagues.Because Cytiva serves customers worldwide, the role may include occasional international travel and periodic early or late calls depending on customer location.
What You’ll Do:
Interpret customer specifications and translate them into clear system requirements and design solutions.
Lead and participate in internal and external design reviews, representing the system design perspective.
Coordinate design activities across Mechanical, Electrical, and Automation engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive system integration.
Select components and equipment that meet functional, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure full regulatory compliance of the product throughout the design process.
Collaborate with Production, Verification, Manufacturing, and Service teams to support smooth project execution and product lifecycle continuity.
Represent the design team during customer acceptance testing, providing technical expertise and ensuring successful handover.

Who you are:
You hold an MSc or BSc in Engineering, Physics, or Biotechnology, or have equivalent knowledge and experience.
You have previous experience in product or process development with a strong technical interest.
You are quality-focused, preferably with experience in project management and in regulated environments.
You enjoy working in smaller teams and have excellent communication skills.
You are a self-starter—energized and results-oriented. You are service-minded, comfortable leading others, and a strong problem solver.
You are proficient in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Swedish language skills.
